The underground construction of the Panoramahaus Rheinblick in Bingen was completely redesigned and repaired by Enviro-Plan.

The planning focused not only on eliminating the deficiencies of the traffic routes, but also on preserving useful existing structures and integrating them into the overall concept.

The aim was to improve road traffic and ensure sufficient parking facilities for residents and emergency services. Around 60 parking spaces were restructured. The asphalt and paved surface were completely renewed, which posed a particular challenge due to the difficult subsoil situation. Among other things, the gradient situation required the use of larger L-shaped stone walls to integrate the facilities into the surroundings.

In addition, the entire outdoor area had to be upgraded both functionally and in terms of design. The focus was on ensuring that it had a practical everyday use for the residents and at the same time required little maintenance. Due to the cramped site conditions and the adjacent buildings, the outdoor area had previously only been partially barrier-free. The planning has completely changed this.

The walkways were provided with depth protection. This allows a self-cleaning effect to occur when exposed to the weather, which significantly reduces the amount of cleaning required. In addition, the directly adjacent and associated playground was completely redesigned and redesigned and the outdoor area was planted.

The construction work was carried out in 4 construction phases to ensure constant access to the building and the underground car park and thus keep restrictions for residents to a minimum. The estimated construction period of 6 months was adhered to, despite the technically difficult and small-scale work and the need to maintain traffic.
