Outdoor and sports facilities of the Friedrichsgymnasium in Frankfurt (Oder) Redesign of the schoolyard and sports facilities of the listed school site

The former Friedrichsgymnasium is located on Gubener Straße in Frankfurt's Gubener Vorstadt district, which is largely characterised by Gründerzeit buildings in the immediate vicinity. The listed building complex, consisting of the three-storey school building opened in 1882, the gymnasium and the headmaster's house, was supplemented in recent times in the south by a new building which connects the school building and the gymnasium. The school grounds are accessed exclusively via Gubener Straße.

In the course of the expansion to an all-day school, the outdoor facilities were completely redesigned in two construction phases. The redesign of the former gymnastics area into a playground and the creation of play and rest areas is based on the original room layout and thus preserves the former character.
