The Siemens Healthcare Building is being built on a plot of land previously used for parking between the site's existing buildings and the Main-Danube Canal. The design of the open spaces picks up on the linear structures of the building as well as the urban and landscape surroundings. The entrance area is designed as a spacious, inviting neighbourhood square, an integrated tree grove consisting of an irregular grid of gleditsia invites to sit and relax. Towards the north, the footpath connection is accompanied by an overriding row of trees made of city pears, short rows of trees in the transverse direction overlook the parking spaces made of lawn strip tiles. In the northern area between the building and the multi-storey car park, the bicycle parking facility for the employees is located as an outbuilding; it also serves as a service yard for the supply of the building.
In the direction of the Main-Danube Canal, inner courtyards between four office fingers form the link to the landscape. They are formed of edged planting areas, the flowering aspects in white, rose and red indicate the course of the seasons.
The project meets the criteria of the Leeds Gold certification.
