The listed green space in the west of Frankfurt was renovated from the ground up. In the process, traces that had been lost were revived and visual relationships were re-established across the small park. Now it is possible to reconstruct the site where the war-damaged, palatial residential building of Princess Henriette Amalie von Anhalt-Dessau and the Von Bernus banking family once stood. The 200-year-old boundary wall made of basalt lava has been uncovered and supplemented with a new main, based on the historical model. The small bridge made of sericite gneiss - one of the oldest bridges in Frankfurt - has received a new railing. Barely trampled planting and lawn areas in the root area of old trees are green again. Three playgrounds have been merged into one area. The closely meshed network of paths shines again with a new, light-coloured surface. Significant improvements have been made for the rare spadefoot toad: Sand bunkers and guiding facilities.
