After building modernization, the open spaces of the inner courtyard are also to be renovated. The courtyard consists of two levels. The western part of the building is 3.50 metres higher, with a small green area with old spherical maples and play areas attached. Along the eastern block of flats the fire brigade access road falls steadily to this difference in level. A dilapidated wall and accident-prone steps separate the two levels. The landscape architect's task was to plan a new pathway, a playground and a new planting concept, as well as a way to renovate the walls and steps. Demolition and new construction were out of the question.
